May 4th-10th is Deaf Awareness Week. Easy Health is a free website of accessible resources. To access their easy read leaflets you must register; this is free. There are lots of leaflets on your ears, losing your hearing and getting hearing aids.

AI is short for Artificial Intelligence. It’s a computer program that many people use to help with writing, making images and looking up information. AI is available on people’s phones, iPads and computers.
This easy read by national Mencap is called How to keep safe when using AI. It talks about what AI is, how AI is used, people’s concerns about AI and keeping safe when using AI.

People who work in health or adult social care must do training on learning disability and autism. It is called the Oliver McGowan training.
It is named after a young man called Oliver who had a learning disability and autism. He sadly died as a result of being given medication he knew he was allergic to. His mum Paula has campaigned for many years to make sure that professionals get training on learning disabilities and autism to stop this from happening again to another family.
