Health and Social Care Group meetings 2024

  • January 15th 2024: A General Manager from the Devon Partnership Trust came to the group to talk about the new mental health unit being built in Dawlish.

  • January 22nd 2024: The group will be planning questions for speakers at the February Devon Learning Disability Partnership Board.
  • March 4th 2024: A Learning Disability Lead from the council came to the group for help. She wanted to know what training they thought Adult Social Care staff should have on communication.

  • April 8th 2024: Council election staff came to the group to discuss the different ways to vote and went through reasonable adjustments that can be offered at polling stations.

  • April 15th 2024: A Public Health and Personalised Care Manager came to talk to the group about the new learning disability HOPE programme. HOPE stands for Helping Overcome Problems Effectively.

  • April 29th 2024: The group came up with a list of reasonable adjustments people can ask for when having a review. We hope that the list will be shared at meet and greets with social care staff when it has been to the Learning Disability Partnership Board.

  • May 13th 2024: An Engagement Officer from Living Options Devon asked the group if they would like to take part in a recruitment film for the Devon Partnership Trust. Group members were also asked their thoughts on how to recruit new people to join the Devon Learning Disability Partnership Group and Health and Social Care Group.
