The Devon Friendship Group

  • The Friendship Group is run by Devon People First. They meet online using Zoom. If you haven’t used Zoom before they will show you how it works.
  • Meetings are every Wednesday afternoon and every other Monday afternoon between 2:00pm-3:30pm.
  • The Friendship Group helps people to develop friendships and feel less lonely.
  • Group members can talk about important issues and offer each other peer support. This means that they share their life experiences to help other people in the group.
  • Group members also help Devon County Council officers and their partner organisations with projects.
  • This is to make sure that adult social care and health services are accessible to people with learning disabilities.
