The Safe Places Scheme
-
Safe places help people with learning disabilities when they don’t feel safe when they are out the community.
-
People may not feel safe when they are out in the community because they feel they are being bullied, abused, or have missed their bus home.
-
Safe Places give people a place to go if they do not feel safe.
-
Safe places can be shops, leisure centres, libraries, or any place that has a Safe Place sticker in the window.
-
The picture on the left is what a Safe Place sticker looks like.
-
When you go in to the safe place you can show a member of staff your “I need help card”
-
I need help cards let staff know that you need help and who they should contact.
-
If you would like more information about the Safe Places Scheme or to ask for a I need help card you should contact Devon Link-up.

You can telephone Devon Link-up on 07808053992.
