What the group said would help support them to have the Coronavirus vaccine

  • Devon CCG attended  the Social Discussion group to help them understand how they could support people with a learning disability to have the Coronavirus vaccine.

  • The feedback received included providing accessible information about what happens at the vaccination appointment.

  • In response to the feedback, Devon Clinical Commissioning Group asked the group if they would like to be involved in making  a short film..

  • The film features ‘Michelle’ and her carer ‘Holly’ who were filmed at Mid Devon Healthcare vaccination site at Lords Meadow Leisure Centre in Crediton. Click or tap her to watch the video

  • This has been a joint project between Devon CCG, NHS England and the Devon Learning Disability Partnership Boards Social Care Discussion group, that is facilitated by The Turning Tides Project.

  • The Devon Learning Disability Partnership Board would like to thank Devon CCG for attending the Social Care discussion group to provide people with a learning disability the opportunity to talk about any concerns they have about the coronavirus vaccine and what would help them.

  • For asking, listening and acting on their feedback – Thank you
